Trying out some new flashes

So after have quit my job as a staff photographer over at Sweet I had to leave som of the gear behind. More important, the quadras I use for shooting skate. So at the moment I am shooting with two Nikon SB-800 and a Vivitar HV 285. And yesterday I took some test shots to see haw they worked, and worked well over my expectations. Also the wieight loss of my backpack is also pretty nice.

Mutewatch

My good friend Mai-Li from Mutewatch was at the studio earlier today to get her picture taken for their website. Infact the whole Mutewatch team is getting shot by me over the next couple of days. And as a coincident I had a photo of Mai-Li in a Swedish morning magazine a few days ago. More on the photos of her and her crew later...

Jonas Skröder during last weeks Image shoot for Sweet Skateboards

Last week was filled with shoots, probably the most I have had in 3 days. Eight images in total, different locations all over Stockholm, different props and a bunch of skaters and no art director. In other words easier said then done, but we pulled it of again. Joans seemed to enjoy his shoot although he had to go in the freezing water more then once.

Busy weeks

Last couple of weeks have been very hectic! Travels and a whole catalog for Sweet Skateboards have been shot since my last post. Since monday the whole Sweet team have been up in Stockholm for the shooting of the image photos for the catalog. They were shot all over Stockholm and took a lot of time and energy, but it was well worth it. Last shoot was last night outside "the Boulala" bar and ended with dinner, beer and pool with the whole crew. Next week the retouching beginns and I am stoked on getting started. Not to many behind the scenes photos right now, but a behind the scenes film is in the making right now. I even think I am getting interviewed for it next week.

Late afternoon at the office

Earlier today this guy came into the office screaming that he wanted his picture taken! Kind as I am, I stoped everything and took out the camera and shot a couple of frames. The guy liked the photos and left screaming again. Weird this happens around here now a days!!!

Fighting

Last week I borrowed a boxing gym to shoot a couple of portfolio photos of former UFC fighter David Bielkheden. Haven't had the chance to go thru them all yet, but here is one of them that I really liked...

Desillusion

The new issue of Desillusion came in the mail yesterday. I had a few photos in the mag of Ali Boulala. Andrew Reynolds was the guest editor and I think he did a good job!

Stolen images

I never know how to feel about these things. When my photos ends up at different websites with out me knowing. Sure it is always nice that people like my photos enough to use them, but at the same time I hate when people dont give the credit of the photo. Sucks, but I guess it is the digital world...

Evan Bowman

Had the pleasure of getting to know Evan Bowman, currently Thashers Staff filmer and earlier FLIP Skateboards filmer, during the Boulala wedding were we both were best men. He spent a week in Stockholm with us and we all had a blast. The last night I wanted to take a portrait of Ali's friends that stayed the extra week in Stockholm. (Here is the one of Braydon Szafranski). This shot was taken with a Sinar F1 4x5 camera with a Rodenstock 250mm lens, home made ringlight and Kodak Tri-x 400 film.

Dead Snake

Me, my brother and our dogs found this snake by the water at our parents house. I am shit scared of snakes and to tell the truth I was kind of glad it was dead, otherwise I would probably have run up to mom. I did managed to get a photo, needless to say it is my brother and not me holding the snake...

Another test shot

Ha ha, feels like I am only posting test shots now. This one is of my self and is for a shoot later tonight with Svenska Spel for the up coming World Poker Championships in Las Vegas. I'll post the shots later next week or so, as soon as they are published.

I feel sorry for Love, every time I need to get a test shot, Love have to drop all of his stuff and get into the studio. I might have to get him candy on monday...

New tires on my Raptor

Not so photo related but I just got a set of low profile tyres in the back and scooter tires in the front of my Raptor today. I'll try to clean it before the next time I will shoot it...

Ben Nordberg in Sweden

I was just flicking thru some old photos this morning and came across this one of Ben doing a fs blunt in Trollhättan, Sweden last summer. I remember when me and Sami (art director at WeSC at the time) first met Ben. He was a young boy flown in from the UK for a catalog shoot for WeSC. After a few catalogs and fun trips, Sami left WeSC for Frank Dandy and I also started to work more with other companies. But last summer I hooked up with the Flip team and Ben, and then the shit was on again. And I got a photo...
